ZACD Case Study
ZACD Investments Pte. Ltd., Singapore
Fund Management Application and Portal

Established in 2005, ZACD Group Limited is an integrated asset manager listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX: 8313) and headquartered in Singapore. It offers end-to-end solutions across the real estate value chain in the Asia Pacific region. ZACD’s core business involves managing individual financial investments through funds focused on real estate projects. The company had engaged another software vendor to build an investor portal, but due to multiple issues with the application, an alternative solution had to be developed..

Kallos Technologies Pte. Ltd., using its low-code development platform Stragiliti.com, offered the optimal solution in terms of speed, quality, and cost. While such an application would typically take over a year to build, Kallos committed to delivering it within three months.

Kallos not only delivered the investor portal on time but also built the core fund management process from the ground up during the same period to ensure the integrity of data viewed by investors. Additionally, it developed native mobile apps for investors to access the portal via Android and iOS devices. Kallos also supported the loading of 10 years of historical data, enabling investors to view fund performance from inception.

Kallos honored its commitment to timeline, cost, and quality by delivering and launching the application within three months. This rapid and high-quality delivery was made possible by automating much of the development through its proprietary low-code platform, (Stragiliti.net)

In addition to developing and implementing the application, Kallos also hosts and manages it in the cloud on the client’s behalf. The system has been live since December 2019.

"Kallos was able to deliver rapidly and with a lot of flexibility because of the rapid application platform "Stragiliti" that they used to assemble the application. The system has been operational for over six months and down time has been near zero, quality and ruggedness of the developed software – very good, and we have not faced any privacy or security issues so far."

Global HR Application

Indorama Ventures Ltd. (https://www.indoramaventures.com) is a world-class chemicals company and a global integrated leader in PET and fibers, serving leading customers across diverse end-use markets. It operates in over 70 locations across more than 30 countries worldwide.

Human Resources was highly decentralized, with each unit or plant managing its own processes and systems. However, at the corporate level, key global functions required consolidated HR reporting and related data for multiple stakeholders. As a listed company and a Fortune 1000 member, it faced critical reporting obligations to the Thai stock exchange, along with several sustainability-related disclosures for international investors. Internal management reporting and analysis were also essential for effective decision-making.

Aggregating information across all locations was a major challenge. Each unit submitted data in different formats and definitions, often with delays due to disparate systems. Significant follow-up was required to collect the data, followed by time-consuming efforts to clean, standardize, and compile it into reports for various stakeholders. The entire process took over two months, causing monthly reports to be delayed by the same margin. With information arriving so late, it held little value for decision-making—highlighting the urgent need for an automated system.

Kallos Solutions was entrusted with developing a solution to address this challenge. The initial focus was on establishing a common structure, standardized formats, and consistent definitions for reports across all locations. This standardized framework was then embedded into software that enabled each location to upload data immediately after the reporting period. Aggregation algorithms were developed, and a data mart was created to store the consolidated data for easy access. Tailored reports and analytics were then defined to meet the needs of various stakeholders.

Kallos rapidly developed the application within a few months using its rapid application development platform (www.stragiliti.net). After successful testing and acceptance, the transition to the new system was carried out in phases. Initially, standard master data was loaded, followed by implementation at a few plants in Thailand. The system was then gradually rolled out to all global locations. Within a few months, data loading, processing, and analysis began occurring on a regular monthly cycle. The application was initially hosted by Kallos on Microsoft Azure in Singapore, and later migrated to Europe to meet enhanced privacy and security requirements under GDPR.

Once fully adopted, data loading and reporting could be completed within 10 to 15 days of month-end—compared to over two months previously. The resulting reports were accurate and reliable, enabling informed decision-making by Senior Management, HR leaders, Segment and Division heads, and Regional managers. Statutory and compliance reporting also became significantly easier and more precise. The system has been live and fully operational for over two years.

“Over a period of two years they have rapidly developed and supported many of our Global HR applications - like Global Data aggregation tools to assimilate data from 70 subsidiaries spread worldwide, Analytics and Dashboard, Global Employee Survey and Global Compensation. They were able to deliver quickly because of a rapid enterprise application development platform they use. The platform gave speed and flexibility and handling our unique needs. They also have a full suite HR and Workforce Management software that is being used by a few of our subsidiaries. I would recommend Kallos Solutions to anyone who needs complex HR applications to be built.”

SA Corp Case Study

Service CRM

Software Analysts Corporation (https://www.sa-corporation.com) is an established software solutions company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. They deliver high-quality software solutions and professional services to clients across the United States. For specific projects, they outsource software development to offshore partners such as Kallos Solutions (Stragiliti.net).

One of their clients, CCS (https://www.yourccsteam.com), a major first-line customer support and call center provider in Minnesota, needed a custom portal developed for its end client. CCS would handle most front-line queries, escalating only complex technical issues. Given the size of the end client, CCS chose to offer a tailored portal to track the status and history of all support calls in progress.

Call data—including details, statuses, and even recordings—were captured from the communication systems and delivered to the portal, allowing customer support managers and the end client to monitor all activity.

Kallos leveraged Stragiliti, its low-code platform, to rapidly develop the application within a short timeframe. The client approved the solution and deployed it for use by both their internal team and their end client.

"Kallos leveraged their rapid development platform (stragiliti.com) to deliver the customer service CRM solution needed, in rapid timeframes. We are happy with the quality and the business results achieved during the delivery."

Research Collaboration Portal

ImagenScience is a startup focused on providing an online collaborative platform for researchers across global laboratories to connect and work together. It was founded by Dr. Alessandra Calvi, an expert in cell biology with extensive experience at renowned research institutions such as UCL (UK), King’s College London, and AStar Labs in Singapore.

As a startup, it was critical that the portal be developed quickly, within a limited budget, and through an iterative approach to incorporate feedback from potential labs and users throughout the development process. Kallos Technologies, leveraging its rapid development low/no-code platform (www.stragiliti.com), offered short timelines, flexible commercial terms, and the ability to deliver multiple iterations during product development—making it the ideal partner for the project.

Kallos developed the portal within a short timeframe, incorporating a user interface designed by a specialist external UI expert. The team implemented an iterative prototyping approach, which proved especially valuable in shaping a new product. This allowed for rapid incorporation of feedback from actual users during development.

In addition to developing and implementing the application, Kallos is also responsible for hosting and managing it on the cloud on behalf of the client. The system is currently in pilot mode.

"Kallos was able to deliver rapidly and with a lot of flexibility because of the rapid application platform – Stragiliti.com that they used to assemble the application. Kallos also has a high-quality development team."
