The Company
Indorama Ventures Ltd. (indoramaventures.com) is a world-class chemicals company and a global integrated leader in PET and fibers, serving leading customers across diverse end-use markets. It operates in over 70 locations across more than 30 countries worldwide.
The Challenge
Human Resources was highly decentralized, with each unit or plant managing its own processes and systems. However, at the corporate level, key global functions required consolidated HR reporting and related data for multiple stakeholders. As a listed company and a Fortune 1000 member, it faced critical reporting obligations to the Thai stock exchange, along with several sustainability-related disclosures for international investors. Internal management reporting and analysis were also essential for effective decision-making.

Aggregating information across all locations was a major challenge. Each unit submitted data in different formats and definitions, often with delays due to disparate systems. Significant follow-up was required to collect the data, followed by time-consuming efforts to clean, standardize, and compile it into reports for various stakeholders. The entire process took over two months, causing monthly reports to be delayed by the same margin. With information arriving so late, it held little value for decision-making—highlighting the urgent need for an automated system.
Solution
Kallos Solutions was entrusted with developing a solution to address this challenge. The initial focus was on establishing a common structure, standardized formats, and consistent definitions for reports across all locations. This standardized framework was then embedded into software that enabled each location to upload data immediately after the reporting period. Aggregation algorithms were developed, and a data mart was created to store the consolidated data for easy access. Tailored reports and analytics were then defined to meet the needs of various stakeholders.
The Delivery Approach
Kallos rapidly developed the application within a few months using its rapid application development platform Stragiliti (www.stragiliti.net). After successful testing and acceptance, the transition to the new system was carried out in phases. Initially, standard master data was loaded, followed by implementation at a few plants in Thailand. The system was then gradually rolled out to all global locations. Within a few months, data loading, processing, and analysis began occurring on a regular monthly cycle. The application was initially hosted by Kallos on Microsoft Azure in Singapore and later migrated to Europe to meet enhanced privacy and security requirements under GDPR.
Results
Once fully adopted, data loading and reporting could be completed within 10 to 15 days of month-end, compared to over two months previously. The resulting reports were accurate and reliable, enabling informed decision-making by Senior Management, HR leaders, Segment and Division heads, and regional managers. Statutory and compliance reporting also became significantly easier and more precise.
